What is Rubber Base gel Nails Treatment?

This innovative product offers a perfect blend of flexibility, strength, and ease of application, making it a favorite among both nail technicians and DIY enthusiasts. But what exactly is Rubber Base nails treatment, and why should you consider it for your next manicure? Let's explore.

What is Rubber Base?

Rubber Base is a type of nail gel designed to provide a strong, flexible foundation for your manicure. Unlike traditional base coats, which are often rigid and prone to chipping, Rubber Base contains a unique rubberized formula that gives it superior elasticity. This elasticity allows the gel to bend and move with your natural nails, reducing the risk of cracks and chips.

How to Apply Rubber Base

Applying Rubber Base is straightforward, but following the correct steps ensures the best results. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Nail Preparation:

    • Start with clean, dry nails.

    • Push back the cuticles and remove any excess cuticle skin.

    • Shape your nails with a file with 180 grit and buff the surface gently to remove any shine.

    • Cleanse the nails with isopropyl alcohol or Swipe ( it is what I use from brand young nails) to remove oils and debris.

    • Apply a dehydrator.

  2. Application of Rubber Base:

    • Apply a thin layer of Rubber Base to each nail, ensuring an even coat.

    • Be sure to cap the free edge to seal the nails and prevent chipping.

    • BUT there are also rubberbase gel that already has a tint in it. With this, I would apply a little bead of this gel bit closer to the cuticle area and gradually use a thin art gel brush to stroke forward.

    • Definitely turn the hand upside down so that this gel can self level.

    • Once you are satisfied with the result. Cure under a UV or LED lamp according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 60-90 seconds).

  3. Follow-Up:

    • Once the Rubber Base is cured, you can proceed with your chosen nail enhancement—whether it’s applying gel polish, or creating nail art.

    • Finish with a top coat to seal and protect your manicure.

Maintaining Rubber Base Nails

To maintain your Rubber Base nails and keep them looking their best:

  • Hydrate: Use cuticle oil regularly to keep your nails and cuticles moisturized.

  • Be Gentle: Avoid using your nails as tools to minimize the risk of damage.

  • Protect: Wear gloves when doing household chores that involve harsh chemicals or water exposure.

Removing Rubber Base Nails

  1. File the Surface: Gently file the top layer of the Rubber Base to break the seal.

  2. Soak Off: Soak cotton pads in acetone, place them on your nails, and wrap them in aluminum foil. Let them sit for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Remove Residue: After soaking, use a cuticle pusher to gently push off the softened gel. Avoid forcing the gel off to protect your natural nails.
